Corey Householder is a writer / director and visual artist currently based in Portland, Oregon. His work often explores formal and emotional relationships between the artificial and authentic, social gender dynamics, and personal identities born from destructive communities. Liminality and queerness are of upmost importance, as is the bridge between profanity and liberty.
His short films have screened in genre festivals all over the world. The Onion House was awarded the Cine de Curios for Best Animated Short at the South Texas Underground Film Festival in 2020. In 2024 his feature length screenplay Patron Saint was named a quarterfinalist at Slamdance, and in 2025 Opposable Thumbs was listed as a semifinalist in Final Draft's Big Break Screenplay Competition.
