Corey Householder is a multi-disciplinary artist and film-maker currently residing in Portland, Oregon, whose past studio credits include LAIKA’s stop-motion fantasy epic Wildwood. His personal work often explores formal and emotional relationships between the artificial and authentic, gender performance, and personal identities born from destructive communities.

 

His short films have screened in genre festivals all over the world. The Onion House was awarded the Cine de Curios for Best Animated Short at the South Texas Underground Film Festival in 2020. In 2024 his feature length screenplay Patron Saint was named a quarterfinalist at Slamdance, and in 2025 Opposable Thumbs was listed as a semifinalist in Final Draft's Big Break Screenplay Competition. He is one-half of the electronic music duo Symphony of Tears.
